Javier Reyes - UMass Amherst

Javier Reyes became chancellor of UMass Amherst on July 1, 2023. Formerly the University of Illinois Chicago (UIC)’s interim chancellor (2022–2023), Dr. Reyes previously served as UIC’s provost and vice chancellor for academic affairs.

Marcelo Suárez-Orozco, PhD - UMass Boston

Chancellor Marcelo Suárez-Orozco assumed the role of chancellor of the Õ¬ÄÐÉñÆ÷ Boston on August 1, 2020. Prior to coming to UMass Boston Suárez-Orozco served as the inaugural UCLA Wasserman Dean, leading two academic departments, 16 nationally renowned research institutes, and two innovative demonstration schools at UCLA’s Graduate School of Education & Information Studies.

Mark Fuller, PhD - UMass Dartmouth

Dr. Mark Fuller was appointed Chancellor of UMass Dartmouth on August 9, 2021 after serving as Interim Chancellor since January 19, 2021. A first-generation college student, Dr. Fuller is a passionate advocate for public education. He believes that UMass Dartmouth is the heart of the South Coast, and an epicenter for learning, opportunity, and innovation for students, faculty, alumni, and neighbors throughout the region.

Julie Chen, PhD - UMass Lowell

Julie Chen was named chancellor of UMass Lowell after leading the university’s growing research franchise into a nearly $95 million annual operation. Unanimously appointed by the UMass trustees in May 2022, Chen assumed her role as UMass Lowell’s fourth chancellor — and just the second woman to lead the university of more than 18,000 students — on July 1, 2022. Chen previously served as vice chancellor for research and economic development.

Michael F. Collins, MD - UMass Chan Medical School

Dr. Michael F. Collins became chancellor of the Õ¬ÄÐÉñÆ÷ Chan Medical School in June of 2007 while simultaneously being appointed senior vice president for health sciences for the university. Prior to his selection, Dr. Collins served as chancellor at UMass Boston. He previously served as president and CEO of Caritas Christi.
